Kai Sushi Bar & Grill in Worcester

Scorpion bowl is strong but delicious. (But be careful because I can barely type this!) Rolls are amazing (try the spicy shrimp!). Staff is nice. Shrimp fried rice was full of big chunks of meat. Would HIGHLY recommend and will be definitely going back.

Exceptional and fresh food, I love the mood this spot has, and the workers were very friendly. Will surely eat here again.

The food here is great. Prices are very reasonable. We absolutely love Kai for their sushi. I always get a starter salad with their ginger dressing. Always fresh and crisp. The tuna steak is fantastic. My girlfriend loves the tempura veggies. I've had different wait staff and they've all been attentive and knowledgeable as far as the menu goes. I would've given 5 stars but the restaurant is very small and is right in the bar. The last 2 times we've eaten there, the bar has loud drunk people and that gets annoying as the bar is right next to the dining tables.

Food is good. Been here a few times and was never disappointed. Service is off. There doesn't seem to be enough staff to handle the customers. Stopped in for a late lunch and it was busy. Ordered sushi and it took 30 minutes. Was good, not 30 minutes good.

Best sushi I’ve ever had. They’re special rolls are outstanding, HUGE, & a very reasonable price. After eating Kai’s sushi, nothing compares. I crave it everyday. I want it all the time. Sometimes there isn’t enough staff or the service is slow. I’m not a patient person but in this case, I‘m very patient as I think about how good the sushi will be. ❤️

I'm usually very satisfied with at least the food from here however tonight I came in with my five-year-old to pick up takeout and sat at the bar and was ignored for 10 minutes. Never was asked if I wanted a drink and my food came before I had a chance to order one. Finally got home only to find my take-out order had no sauce in it and the lobster fried rice had 3 Lobster pieces...3!!! extremely disappointed but will give it one more chance

Sushi was mediocre at best, I'm guessing the "great" reviews are people that are getting the expensive flashy drinks and don't know good sushi, or maybe they had an off day. Came in for lunch, no wait staff, just the bartender working. Food took a long time, and wasn't great for the price. Maybe the flashy expensive rolls are good, but when the basic nigiri and the cheap rolls like tuna are off, I'm not gonna waste my money trying the bigger ones.

Sushi is great. The restaurant is great. If you want take out... consistently add 20 minutes to eat they tell you for a pick up time. But it is definitely good

This little gem was a wonderful find. Nestled in one of Worcester's run down strip malls, this is what I'd consider a diamond in the ruff. It's very small inside, but we went during off hours so it was quiet. I don't know how it is when it's busy but I think reservations would be a good idea during dinner hours. The staff was very friendly, and the fiid was exceptional. We got both Udon and Soba noodles and couldn't choose what was better, the spicy tuna roll was absolutely delicious as well. I'll be going here again for sure. Bring a sweater though, every time the front door opens you get hit with a blast of cold air. Not a complaint, just a suggestion.

We were so excited to find the sister restuarant of Kai Zen in Worcester!!! We both got the fillet mignon, cooked perfectly and a great tasting glass of Merlot . Everything was excellent, will be going back!

I ordered the shrimp tempura from this place yesterday. That was the last thing I ate before feeling extremely ill for many hours throughout the night. Although my first time eating here was a pleasant experience, the second time was absolutely nauseating. It is now Saturday and my stomach still feels off. I never write reviews, but Worcester folks deserve a warning.

We love Kaizen in Sturbridge so when we are in Worcester Kai is our place to go. Very nice bar tender. Food was amazing as always. If you are looking for five star sushi this is the place to go!
